Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Increase Museum revenue by $7,900
Background: On September 26, 2006, Agenda Item 18, the Board of Supervisors authorized the Museum Administrator to apply for a grant from the California State Archives Commission to re-house, catalog and improve storage conditions for a part of the County government historical records currently in the Museum's possesion. The grant of $7,900 was awarded March 1, 2007. The schedule to complete the project spans fiscal year 2006/07 and 2007/08 with expenses to be incurred in both fiscal years.
Reason for Recommendation: To allow County Museum staff with the assistance of volunteers, to work on the project according to the schedule as outlined in the grant application.
Action to be taken following Board approval: General Services shall receive and deposit a check for $7,900.
