Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
Background: The West Slope Animal Shelter project has critical time constraints over the course of the next 6 months.
Reason for Recommendation: Given that the new Director of Facilities and Fleet Services will be focusing on the tasks associated with the recent Department reorganization, we feel the hiring of George Sanders as Extra Help Facilities Manager is the best course of action to ensure the project is completed within those time constraints. Mr. Sanders brings a wealth of County experience and knowledge of the Animal Shelter to move the project forward.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Necessary steps will be taken to hire George Sanders at Step 5 of the Facilites Manager salary range.
