DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A Notice of Vacancy was posted on May 21, 2026 and one application was received. Mr. Brian Frazier expressed interest in serving, and Supervisor Turnboo has confirmed his appointment. Mr. Frazier will be filling the seat previously held by Mr. Mason, who recently passed away and had been a dedicated member of the Assessment Appeals Board since 2009.
In accordance with Ordinance 4442, Section 2.28.040: "Upon the expiration of any term of office or the occurrence of a vacancy on the assessment appeals board, the board of supervisors shall fill such office or vacancy by direct appointment. Anyone appointed to fill a vacancy during the term of a regular member shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term."
