DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
At the Special Board Meeting-Budget Hearing held on June 7, 2022 (Item 22-0973), the Board requested an update on the permit backlog in the Planning and Building Department (Department). The attached Staff Memo (Attachment A) provides data and context around permit activity and the Permit Center of the Planning and Building Department.
The Staff Memo and associated presentation will provide a breakdown and year-over-year comparison of the key performance indicators the Department utilizes to monitor the efficiency of the permit process and customer support being provided by Department staff.

The Board may choose not to provide direction to staff for next step actions at this time.
