None. The State Department of Boating and Waterways will reimburse El Dorado County for 100% of all costs, up to a maximum of $47,300. provide 100% of the funds needed. The Sheriff's Office will work with the Chief Administrative Office to ensure the additional revenues and appropriations relative to this contract are included in budget addenda process.
Background
The State California Department of Boating and Waterways provides the Sheriff with an annual grant for an intervention program on the County’s lakes and waterways. As an extension of that program, the State also offers equipment grants for items above-and-beyond the cost of the day-to-day operations.
Reason for Recommendation
The Sheriff has requested, and the State Department of Boating and Waterways has agreed to fund $47,300 for the purchase of dive equipment. Approval of this contract will allow the Sheriff's Office to purchase additional equipment that will improve the level of public safety on the lakes and waterways in El Dorado County.
