Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  There will be no change to net county cost.  
 
Background: On September 30, 2011 under a Memorandum of Understanding the El Dorado Community Foundation granted to the El Dorado County District Attorney's Office $32,000 to assist with the investigation and prosecution of criminals who commit crimes against older adults by means of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation.  Specifically, these funds are to assist with the cost of a Special Investigator assigned to Elder Abuse cases.  This position was approved at the Board of Supervisors meeting on October 11, 2011, Agenda Item 11-1149, Resolution 170-2011.
 
Reason for Recommendation:  Establish budget and appropriations for the use of grant funds in the amount of $32,000 for fiscal year 2011-2012.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  Budget Transfer to be signed by Chair and forwarded to the Audtiors Office for posting.
