Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No Change. Funds were budgeted in FY 2006/07. The remainder was included in the FY 2007/08 Proposed Budget Request.

Background: The County received funding in the form of two grants from the California Department of Social Services for the Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Treatment (CAPIT) and Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Programs in 2006. Funding of these two grants was contingent on obtaining a subrecipient to provide child abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services under the CAPIT and PSSF Programs. On October 17, 2006, the Board executed Agreement #202-S0711 with New Morning Youth and Family Services to act as subrecipient for the provision of the specified services on an as requested basis for clients of the Department of Human Services, Social Services Division during the term of October 17, 2006 through June 30, 2007. On December 5, 2006, the Board executed Amendment I to amend the Scope of Services, Term, and Compensation for Services in order to consent to Contractors request that the Agreement be made retroactive to July 1, 2006 to allow for paym...
