DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Government Code section 29375 authorizes the County, when it receives an overpayment not exceeding $10, and when a refund is not requested by the payer, to be deposited into a Cash Overage Fund. Government Code section 29380 requires that the Board of Supervisors annually approve the transfer of the balance from the County's Cash Overage Fund to the General Fund.
