Background and Reason for Recommendation
On April 17, 2014, the Purchasing Agent executed Agreement No. 542-S1410 with Karen Kramer, doing business as Kramer Workplace Investigations, to provide professional employment legal services, including but not limited to, investigations, trainings, and services related to other various employment relations subjects. Services may be provided to any County department as requested by Human Resources.

Human Resources continues to receive complaints from County employees. The department has contracted with outside vendors to provide unbiased investigations of the complaints filed.
The Human Resources Department has contracted with Karen Kramer for the provision of professional employment legal services, including but not limited to, investigations, trainings, and services related to other various employment relations subjects. Ms. Kramer conducts thorough investigations and provides detailed, professional reports.
