Supervisor Turnboo recommending the Board:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign a Proclamation designating June 12-15, 2025, as "El Dorado County Fair Week" in the County of El Dorado; and
2) Encourage members of the community to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the El Dorado County Fair on Thursday, June 12, 2025, promptly at 11:45 a.m. at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, Placerville Drive Gate, located at 100 Placerville Drive in Placerville.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Board of Supervisors recognizes the El Dorado County Fair Association with a Proclamation each year to highlight the annual county Fair. The Board acknowledges the annual county fair is the largest event in our County and expresses special thanks to all the volunteers who are critical to putting this “party” on.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve the Proclamation.
