Background: On May 9, 1989, the Board adopted Policy A-9 directing County department to inventory recorrds and establish record retention schedules.
Reason for Recommendation: In an effort to further reduce the need for onsite storage of Sheriff's documents and video recordings, the Sheriff's Office is revising the approved retention schedule.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Purge and/or send for storage Sheriff's Office documents and video recordings according to the newly revised and adopted retention schedule.
