Probation Department recommending the Board:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Agreement 199-O1811 with El Dorado County Office of Education (known as County Schools) to provide funding to the Probation Department for youth enrolled in the Charter Community School Intervention Program, with an effective date retroactive to July 1, 2016, an an expiration date of June 30, 2018; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute further documents relating to Agreement for Services 199-O1811, including amendments which do not increase the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management.
FUNDING: Revenue received from El Dorado County Office of Education.

DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Per Agreement #199-O1811 total payment to County by County Schools for the 2016/17 school year shall be made upon execution of current agreement; and for the 2017/18 school year shall be made by June 30, 2018. The term of this agreement is from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018. This agreement originates with El Dorado County Office of Education and was sent to the department in August 2017. The department routed the agreement through the normal county approval requirements and scheduled the next available Board meeting.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Certain students on probation need additional support services to function in the public schools. County Schools is authorized under Chapter 605 of the Education Code, Section 1980 et seq. to enroll and provide for education of students through services provided by the El Dorado County Court School Program.
