In January of each year, various District specific appointments to Committees and Commissions of the Board of Supervisors are placed on the Board's agenda for their consideration. District specific appointments occur throughout the year, especially in election years when new Board members are seated. This matter may be continued multiple times as the Clerk of the Board is informed of new appointments on those Committees and Commissions where Board members have the sole authority to recommend appointment of individuals based on the criteria established by previous Board action of state law.
