DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
The Sheriff’s Office recommends approving and authorizing the Sheriff to sign Grant Agreement #C17L0607 with the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The State of California Division of Boating and Waterways provides the Sheriff’s Office with an annual grant for an intervention program on the County’s lakes and waterways. As an extension of that program, the State also offers equipment grants for items above and beyond the cost of the day to day operation of the boat patrol program.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no impact to Net County Cost. The State Division of Boating and Waterways will reimburse El Dorado County for 100% of the costs of the equipment, up to a maximum of $17,696, with no County matching requirement.
