Lieutenant Matt Stover joins the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Placerville office from his last assignment at the California State Capitol in Sacramento. While assigned to the CHP-Capitol Protection Section, Lt. Stover was in charge of Field Operations which had oversight of the CHP Mounted Patrol Unit, Hazardous Device Detail (Bomb Squad), Bicycle Patrol Unit, and the CHP SWAT team.
Lt. Stover also instructed CHP cadets while assigned to the CHP Academy. Lt. Stover has also worked at CHP Headquarters, and field assignments in Truckee, Santa Barbara and South Los Angeles.
