DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

In compliance with the El Dorado County Boards, Committees and Commission Annual Reporting Guidelines, First 5 El Dorado Commission is presenting an update to the Board regarding its activities and appoint members to fill vacancies. According to the First 5 El Dorado Bylaws Article VI (D), “The Board of Supervisors will appoint Commissioners to the First 5 El Dorado Children and Families Commission”. Further, Bylaws Article VI (F) states, “Members shall serve for terms of three years and until his/her successor is appointed by the Board of Supervisors. There is no limit to the number of terms an appointed Commission member may serve.” This agenda item will satisfy the Annual Report requirements, appoint membership consistent with the Commission Bylaws and will comply with First 5 annual compliance requirements.
