Health and Human Services Agency recommending the Board:
1) Accept funding from the California Department of Community Services and Development in the amount of $30,000, and delegate authority to the Health and Human Services Agency Director to sign revenue Agreement 19F-4411 for the term June 1, 2019 through May 31, 2020, for said services; and
2) Delegate authority to the Health and Human Services Agency Director to sign any further amendments thereto contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management; and
3) Authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director, Assistant Director of Administration and Finance or Chief Fiscal Officer to execute any fiscal and programmatic reports required for said Agreement.
FUNDING: Community Services Block Grant Discretionary funding, to be used for Homelessness Prevention and Diversion Services.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board accept funding from the California Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) to expand or enhance direct service programs.
On April 22, 2019 HHSA received this Community Services Block Grant Agreement 19F-4411 for the purpose of providing discretionary funds to support the expansion or enhancement of direct service programs and/or agency capacity in the areas of data management and reporting, strategic planning, automation or resource development. For acceptance of this Grant, the signed documents are due back to CSD no later than May 27, 2019.
Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) dollars are intended to target services and activities which support addressing employment, housing, nutrition, emergency, and other types of human services for low-income populations.
