Title: Limbaugh reported the Veterans Service Officer (VSO) Brown wanted to congratulate David Zelinsky on being awarded the El Dorado County Senior of the Year Award by the Board of Supervisors for his work assisting the homeless population and veterans in the community. Next, Limbaugh reported that Veterans Service Representative (VSR) Sharon Nue would be attending the CalVet Academy Phase II in July to become an accredited VSR with CalVet. Once she is accredited, she will be able to assist veterans and help with the caseload of the other VSRs. Next, Limbaugh reported that the Health and Human Services Agency held a public meeting on June 12th at the Veterans Memorial Building to discuss the Veterans Monument Honoraria Criteria. There was a lot of discussion, however, no decisions have been made at this time. Next, Limbaugh reported that  Veterans Service Representative (VSR) Sharon Nue would be attending the CalVet Academy Phase II in July to become an accredited VSR with CalVet. Next, Limbaugh reported the next audit was fast approaching and the office had currently posted over one million dollars in retroactive compensation benefits that have been awarded to veterans in the community within the last six months. Next, Limbaugh reported for the month of May the Veteran Services Office received 358 phone calls, 90 scheduled appointments, and 188 walk-in visitors. Lastly, Limbaugh reported no changes to services provided in South Lake Tahoe.
