Background:
Your Board must hold a public hearing to adopt the appropriation limitation for the County of El Dorado for FY 2007-2008. On May 22, 2007 your Board received documentation on the calculation of the appropriation limit for the County of El Dorado for FY 2007-2008 in the amount of $148,065,304. Those documents have now been available for more than fifteen (15) days as required before adopting the spending limit for the next year.
Reason for Recommendation:
Government Code Section 7910 requires that the governing body of each local jurisdiction establish its appropriations limit by resolution for the following year at a regular or special meeting.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Ratify resolution establishing the appropriations limit in the amount of $148,065,304 for FY 2007-2008.
