DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Election Code Sections 10400 et seq. provides for consolidation of a local jurisdiction election with the Statewide Primary Election to be conducted by the El Dorado County Registrar of Voters on June 2, 2026.
The Registrar of Voters is the Election Official for local jurisdictions within the County. All jurisdictions have submitted Resolutions requesting their district election be consolidated with the Statewide Primary Election.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve and adopt the Resolution. If the consolidation is not approved, the Election Department would be required to conduct 5 individual elections on June 2, 2026.
