Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Authorize an increase of $30,000 to BP20120217, for a total of $90,000 for the purchase of Equipment / Truck Tires, Tubes and Related Products and Services on the East Slope of El Dorado County to the low qualified bidder, Granger Tire Service of Placerville, CA;
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to sign the increased blanket purchase order for the period of September 23, 2011 through September 22, 2012 following Board approval; and
3) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to increase the blanket purchase order on an "as needed" basis during the awarded period as long as funding is available within the requesting department's budget.

REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: At the request of the Department of Transportation, the Procurement and Contracts division issued an Invitation to Bid for Equipment / Truck Tires, Tubes and Related Products and Services on the East Slope of El Dorado County. Bid # 12-863-007 was awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, Granger Tire Service of Placerville, CA. by the Purchasing Agent on September 23, 2011. A Blanket Purchase Order (BP) was issued in the amount of $60,000.00, based on the Departments annual purchases in previous years. With the long and severe winter encountered by El Dorado County this past year, the Department of Transportation has had an increased need for the purchase of truck tires and tire related products and services.
