Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Foothill Multi-County Partnership provides partial funding for the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) program serving the Foothill Counties. This program brings researchers and educators to rural communities to share agricultural research findings and address local agricultural, environmental, and public health needs.
The partnership, established through an interlocal agreement first approved in 2011, includes the Regents of the University of California and the counties of Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, and Tuolumne. Programs are shaped collaboratively by representatives from each partner agency through the Advisory Council and currently include services such as 4-H Youth Development, Master Gardener programs, Natural Resources Advising, Specialty Crops Advising, and the Forestry Advisor program.
