Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no change to Net County Cost. This position is funded at Step 5 in the Assessor's budget for the current fiscal year budget.
Background/Reason for Recommendation: The Assessor's Office is requesting that Kenneth Goode be hired at Step 5 of the salary range for Senior Appraiser because of his extensive experience and background. Mr. Goode served as an Appraiser III for eleven (11) years in the Mono County Assessor's Office. Mr. Goode's extensive experience in appraisal exceeds that of typical applicants for this professional level position.
He received his certification from the State Board of Equalization and holds a Associates of Arts Buisness - Porterville College, Porterville, CA.
Mr. Goode's expertise, knowledge, background and experience is invaluable to El Dorado County and warrants hiring at the Step 5 level.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Assessor's Office will prepare/complete the Step 5 retroactive pay and process the Payroll/Personnel Action Form.
