DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The item before the Board is recommending an extension to the Next Review dates to April 30, 2027 for Board of Supervisors Policy L-1, Privacy and Protected Information Policy and K-2, Workplace Violence Prevention Policy. An extension to the Next Review dates is being requested in order to update both policies, which are complex, and to ensure both are in compliance with current laws and integrate appropriately with current County practices.  No additional changes are proposed at this time.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may choose not to approve the extension of the Next Review date; direct staff to make additional modifications; or take no action.
