DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Robert Jacques and Tessa Jacques, owners of Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 073-241-015, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a public utility easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution. This property is in the community of Auburn.
The public utility easement, as shown on Lot numbers 1095, 1096, 1097, 1098 and 1099 of Auburn Lake Trails, Unit No. 5, recorded in Book E of Subdivisions at Page 85, was offered to the County of El Dorado by Trans-Land Co., a co-partnership by Land Tech Corporation, an Ohio Corporation, on February 25, 1971. The easement was acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on March 16, 1971 and the Subdivision Map recorded on March 18, 1971.
ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 19-0003. By utilizing this alternative, the owners of Assessor’s Parcel Number 073-241-015 would be unable to pursue any development that would impact this easement.
