DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In recent months, with the support of the Board, El Dorado County OES has been working to leverage resources to best assist the County in the event of a disaster. One of those tools has been the implementation of Perimeter, a means of communication that assists the public in identifying resources, evacuation zones, and other valuable information.
Additionally, the staff assigned to OES have been involved in tabletop demonstrations and will be providing training to interested County staff on the National Incident Management System. These courses will provide individuals with valuable first-hand experience related to the Incident Command System and expose them to the various roles involved in managing an incident.
