DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Surveyor's Office recommending the Board adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement (AOE) 17-001 to abandon a public utility and drainage easement on Lot 43 of "Village H El Dorado Hills Unit 2", recorded at Book H of Subdivisions at Page 48, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 123-072-06, requested by the owners, Tim Lancaster and Jami Lancaster.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Tim Lancaster and Jami Lancaster, owner of APN 123-072-06, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a public utility easement and drainage easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The public utility easement and drainage easement, as shown on Lot 43 of "Village H El Dorado Hills Unit 2", recorded at Book H of Subdivisions at Page 99 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, El Dorado Hills Development Company, A California General Partnership , on June 6, 1995. The easement was acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on June 6, 1995 and the Subdivision Map recorded on August 24, 1995.

ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 17-001. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor's Parcel 120-233-07, would be unable to purse any development that would impact these easements.
