Sara Lee Sprowl Edwards is being recognized by the Board of Supervisors on the occasion of her 90th birthday. Born in 1936, she built a life centered on education, family, cultural exchange, music, and community service. After moving to Placerville in 1965, she taught in the Gold Trail Union School District for 30 years and, with her husband Bob, hosted international visitors through sister‑city and Rotary programs. She spent many years as a docent at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park and has held longtime leadership roles in organizations including AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma, the California Retired Teachers Association, and the Placerville Shakespeare Club. The proclamation honors her decades of service, her dedication to family and community, and celebrates her milestone 90th birthday.
