Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with this funding Agreement. This anticipated funding was included in the fiscal year (FY) 2010-11 budget.

Background: The County has been an active participant in collaboration with the El Dorado Union High School District in providing preventive health care intervention and education to at-risk students and their families since 1996. Through the provision of a centralized Public Health Nurse (PHN) on campus, initially established by a State Healthy Start Grant, students have been able to access direct referral to a full scope of community based resources. The PHN provides expert assessment and case management for those students and families that are at highest risk for complex health, psychosocial, and academic challenges.

Compensation for Services: This is a funding Agreement with payments made to the County based on quarterly invoices.

Contract Termination: This Agreement contains language specifying that in the event of reduction or discontinuation of Maternal Child and Adolescent Health allocation funding (which also helps to support the program), the Agreement may be immediately amended or terminated upon notice from the County.
