Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
The requested Board action has no associated fiscal impact or Net County Cost.

Background
The "Sugarloaf Stampede Run" is a running event sponsored by the Sugarloaf Station Foundation and the El Dorado County Office of Education. The event will consist of three course lengths: 5K, 10K, and 10 miles and the road closure will be a part of the 10 mile course.   Runners will proceed along the lower section of the El Dorado Trail, onto Jacquier Road for 0.13 mile, into the parking lot on Camellia Lane and then back onto the El Dorado Trail again.  The return route will be the same, only in reverse.  This permit is not for the El Dorado Trail, however a trail permit will be issued through the CAO's Office.  The El Dorado County Explorers will provide crossing guards for each major cross street.  The event sponsers anticipate having approximately 350 runners.

Reason for Recommendation
The Transportation Division is recommending Board approval of the road closure to provide for the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators along the course and to assist in the success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.

Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
1.  The Clerk will obtain the Chair's signature of the Resolution.
2.  The Clerk will send an executed copy of the Resolution to the Transportation Division.
