Background: Public Health has various Special Revenue accounts in Fund Type 20 (Countywide Special Revenue Funds) and has been working with the Auditor's Office to transfer the fund balances in the existing funds to new index codes within the Department's Fund Type 11 budget structure. On February 5, 2008 the Board approved a budget transfer to allow for the transfer of said funds into Public Health's primary Special Revenue Fund Type 11.
Reason for Recommendation:
An additional $5,889.11 in fund balance has been identified within the MediCal Administrative Activities (MAA) Program fund (index code 7740307) that needs to be transferred to the new Fund Type 11 MAA Program (Index 401115) as part of the Department's FY 2007-08 fund restructuring process. A budget transfer is necessary to allow for the transfer of those funds.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Chair to sign Budget Transfer and route to Auditor-Controller for processing.
