Title
Supervisor Santiago and Supervisor Nutting recommending the Board authorize the Chair to sign a comment letter on the proposed plan for the Draft Land Forest Management Plan for the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.  (Est. Time:  20 Min.)
Body
Given that the Forest Plan for the LTBMU is being suggested as a model for other forests, our Board's input is critical. There were four suggested proposals.  To align with stated policies of the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors, the suggestion is to combine certain aspects of two of the proposed alternatives (B and C), alternatives A (no change) and D (leads to a further restrictive environment) and are not in compliance with stated policies of El Dorado County.   Special attention should be made to apply the requirements of the 1982 planning rule, which specifically addresses forest range land renewable resources planning act (1974), even though it is stated in the opening synopsis that compliance with this rule is not required. The 1982 planning rule contains many valuable aspects.
