Background:

Reason for Recommendation:
Public utilities easements, as shown on Parkview Heights Unit No. 3 final map recorded in Book G of Subdivision Maps at Page 121C, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado in August of 1988, and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in February of 1989.

An application has been submitted by Ronald D. Kenzy, Trustee, and Rosalie Kenzy, Trustee of the Kenzy Family Revocable Trust dated 5/19/99, owners of Lot 95, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate public utilities easements located along the westerly and southerly boundary lines of Lot 95, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 125-563-01. Said easements are more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted in Exhibit “B” of the attached Resolution.

The subject property is located on Gillett Drive, west of El Dorado Hills Boulevard and north of US Highway 50, in El Dorado Hills. Said action is necessary to accommodate planned construction of improvements on the subject lot.

All utility companies that could be impacted by this vacation have provided the Department of Transportation with written notification that they have no facilities within the subject areas and have no objection to the proposed abandonment. All other existing easements will remain. The Department of Transportation’s staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
