Department of Transportation recommending the Board approve the following:
1) Approve an increase to purchase contract 10146 with Advanced Traffic Products for the purchase of emergency vehicle preemptive equipment for traffic signals, in the amount of $150,000 for a new total of $225,000, for the remainder of the three (3) year term ending on January 31, 2029; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to increase the purchase contract on an "as needed" basis during the awarded period as long as funding is available within Department of Transportation budget.
FUNDING: Road Fund (100%).

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Department of Transportation (Transportation) has historically purchased and utilized emergency vehicle preemptive equipment at traffic signals throughout the County. In January 2026, Procurement and Contracts issued bid #2025-0172 and the lowest, responsive bidder was Advanced Traffic Products of Everett, Washington. Purchase contract #10146 was generated in the amount of $75,000 for a three (3) year term. Due to the volume of anticipated replacement equipment needed for the upcoming fiscal year, Transportation determined an increase for the three (3) year not-to-exceed amount was necessary to repair and replace existing traffic signal emergency vehicle preemptive equipment.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
