Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The El Dorado Trail is a key recreational asset within El Dorado County, offering opportunities for hiking, biking, and equestrian use while connecting communities and showcasing El Dorado County’s scenic landscapes. As interest in outdoor recreation continues to grow, the Parks Commission is exploring ways to enhance the trail experience and increase public awareness of its benefits. A promotional video has been developed to highlight the trail’s features and encourage community engagement.

This promotional video developed by Friends of the El Dorado Trail provides an overview of the El Dorado Trail’s recreational opportunities and its role in supporting healthy lifestyles and tourism. Staff recommend that the Commission view the video and discuss potential strategies for future collaboration, including trail improvements, outreach initiatives, and partnerships with local organizations. These efforts have the potential to strengthen public engagement, improve trail amenities, and ensure the trail remains a valued resource for residents and visitors alike.
