DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Revenues received for the Unclaimed Gas Tax exceeded the departments budgeted amount due to calculation by the California Food and Agriculture for Fiscal Year FY 2025-26. The Department is requesting a budget transfer to allow the transfer of a portion of the additional revenue to the viticulture trust for glassy-winged sharpshooter activities for delimitation forthcoming in FY 2026-27. The remaining revenue will cover increased appropriations for Professional Services for Investigations, Postage, and Interfund Services Between Fund Types to account for additional repairs that Fleet performed on Ag Department equipment.
