Title
Sheriff's Office requesting the Board authorize the Chairman to sign an Amendment to Reimbursement Agreement 610-F0910 with the City of South Lake Tahoe in the amount of $15,313.60, to extend the term from June 30, 2009 to February 28, 2010.

FUNDING: FY 2007 Homeland Security Grant Funds.
Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No Net County Cost.

Background: On December 9, 2008, the Board approved the reimbursement of $140,000 to the City of South Lake Tahoe for purchase of a Reverse 9-1-1 emergency notification system for the County from FY 2008 Homeland Security Grant funds. On May 12, 2009, the Board approved reimbursement of installation costs of this system in the amount of $15, 313.60, from FY 2007 Homeland Security Grant funds. The City of South Lake Tahoe did not invoice the County for this installation cost of $15,313.60 before that Agreement ended on June 30, 2009. Therefore, we are amending the term of that Reimbursement Agreement to extend the date, until February 28, 2010, by which the City can invoice the County for those monies.

Reason for Recommendation: To amend the Reimbursement Agreement with the City of South Lake Tahoe to extend the term.

Action to be taken following Board approval: After execution of this Reimbursement Agreement, the City will have until February 28, 2010 to invoice the County for this $15,313.60 for the Reverse 9-1-1 installation costs.
