Background: The "Pollock Pines 4th of July Parade" is an annual event sponsored by the Pollock Pines Rotary Club.  Requested road closures are for the safety of the parade participants, children, volunteers, and spectators along the course.
 
Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event.  Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: The roads listed in the Resolution will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2008, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. for the "Pollock Pines 4th of July Parade" activities.
