Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), on behalf of the El Dorado County (County) Commission on Veterans Affairs (VAC), recommending the Board:

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:

The Veterans Affairs Commission advises the Board by promoting public support for Veterans, the National Guard, and the U.S. Armed Forces; reviewing relevant policies and programs; and offering timely information and recommendations to both the Board and the public on Veterans and National Guard matters.

 

In line with County expectations for all boards and commissions, the VAC is required to submit an annual report to the Board. This presentation will provide a brief overview of the Commission’s operations in 2024, highlighting accomplishments, challenges, and future priorities.

 

ALTERNATIVES:

The Board could choose to not receive the presentation.
