Background: Allie Shilin resigned from the Economic Development Advisory Commission effective July 22, 2010. The new appointee has been recommended by the District 4 Board member and will complete the remainder of the vacated term to expire on May 18, 2011.
The Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC) of El Dorado County fulfills Policies 10.1.1.1 and 10.1.1.2 within the Economic Development Element of the El Dorado County General Plan. These policies call for the creation of an advisory body, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, "
to advise and recommend to the Board of Supervisors policies and a course of action that will facilitate the County's economic vitality."
Reason for Recommendation: Approval of this appointment will bring to full membership the Economic Development Advisory Commission.
