Information Technologies Department recommending the Board approve the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute competitively bid Purchase Contract 7920 with Secure Smart Solutions, LLC for a Veracode Software solutions bundle, for a three (3) year period in the amount of $153,000; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute any necessary amendments relating to Purchase Contract 7920, excluding term extensions and increases in compensation, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management.
FUNDING: General Fund, with partial cost recovery through the A-87 Cost Allocation Plan.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On June 28, 2023, Bid 23-209-075 was awarded by the Purchasing Agent to Secure Smart Solutions, LLC to provide a Veracode Software solutions as the annual amount on the Bid was within the Purchasing Agent’s authority as seen on the Bid Evaluation (Attachment C). Veracode provides the technology solution needed for application security hardening for custom Information Technology (IT) applications and connects Security and Development Teams to ensure custom software application adoption and compliance. Veracode allows for managing risk across IT’s software portfolio, finds and fixes runtime vulnerabilities, and provides dynamic code analysis. Veracode has a commitment to deliver cloud-based application security software to agencies at all levels of government - Federal, State and Local - through the StateRAMP (Risk and Authorization Management Program), which helps improve the cyber posture of public institutions and the citizens they serve.
The proposed Purchase Contract 7920 will authorize Secure Smart Solutions, LLC to provide a Veracode Software solutions bundle to the Information Technologies department for a three (3) year period. The three-year period amount of $153,000 is above Purchasing Agent authority, so Purchase Contract 7920 is being brought to the Board for consideration.
