DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Sheriff’s Office is requesting $8,722.00 to update software to assist in becoming National Incident-Based Reporting System compliant and to fund sending six Detectives to the California Narcotic Officers Association Annual Training Institute.
The DA’s Office is requesting $8,722.00 to purchase computer equipment, a small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS), and to fund sending four DA employees to the California District Attorney Investigators’ Association Annual Conference.
The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs Bureau of Justice Assistance, does require that the County notify the Board and make available a copy of the application to allow any public comment in regards to the application.
