Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The Department of Human Services has informed Department of Transportation that they have included funds for this renewal in their FY 2010-11 budget request. Senior Nutrition programs are funded by State (2.0%), Federal (33.2%), Donations/Other (14.7%) and General Fund (50.1% including a 10.5% match requirement). The County General Fund contribution to Aging and Adult Services programs is determined during the budget process.

Background: The Department of Human Services has leased this space to provide the Senior Nutrition meals since the 1980's and the Facility Use Agreement 744-L0711 has been in effect since July 1, 2007.

Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Human Services, Senior Nutrition Program has requested the one (1) year renewal of the Facility Use Agreement commencing July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 to continue to provide Senior Nutrition Program meals and activities for the seniors. This amendment will change the hours of operations, add the two (2%) annual increase, and renew for an additional one (1) year term per said agreement.
