Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The cost has been included in the Probation Department's FY 2010-11 budget.
Reason for Recommendation: The Chief Probation Officer is appointed by the Courts. The Courts recently announced their selection to fill the vacant position by appointing Greg Sly. The County sets the salary and is recommending step three of the salary range effective July 3, 2010 which is when Mr. Sly will assume the position.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Probation Department will complete payroll/personnel forms and forward to Human Resources and Payroll.
