Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The overlay projects are included in the 2010 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and the FY 2010-2011 budget. There is no Net County Cost.
Reason for Recommendation:
The EDCTC has allocated to the County of El Dorado $280,000 in RSTP funds for the following overlay projects:
1. North Shingle Road - from Ponderosa Road at Hwy 50 to Green Valley Road
2. Latrobe Road - from South Shingle Road to Cothrin Ranch Road
3. Newtown Road - from Mining Brook Road to Pleasant Valley Road
To access these funds, the County must submit a claim to the EDCTC. Since the EDCTC will only fund claims on a reimbursement basis, DOT will not submit this claim until the monies have been expended.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. DOT will submit a claim signed by the Director of Transportation to the El Dorado County Transportation Commission for $280,000 of RSTP Exchange funds.
