Chief Administrative Office, Facilities Division, recommending the Board:
1) Find that pursuant to Article II, Section 210b(6) of the El Dorado County Charter, that due to the limited timeframes and temporary nature, the ongoing aggregate of the work to be performed is not sufficient to warrant the addition of permanent staff; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to sign Amendment II to Agreement for Services 4832 with Pro-Line Cleaning Services, Inc. to extend the term through June 30, 2021, and increase compensation by $46,860, for an amended not-to-exceed amount of $121,055, as related to routine janitorial services at the Public Safety Facility.

On April 14, 2020, the Board approved Agreement for Services No. 4832 with Pro-Line Cleaning Services, Inc., to provide routine janitorial services at the Public Safety Facility. This agreement was established for a six month term (March 17, 2020 through September 16, 2020) and a not-to-exceed amount of $46,860.
On September 1, 2020, the Board approved Amendment I to Agreement for Services No. 4832 to extend the term to December 31, 2020, and increase compensation by $27,335.
Due to unprecedented current events related to COVID-19 the County’s custodial staff has been overwhelmed with extra mitigation services and this agreement with Pro-Line was implemented to supplement cleaning efforts at this new facility. With uncertainty still remaining regarding COVID-19 the division seeks to increase the contract’s term and compensation so that routine cleaning services remain available. Amendment II would add an additional $46,860 in compensation, for an amended not-to-exceed of $121,055, and extend the term to June 30, 2021.
