Background:
Information Technologies has contracted with Tier Technologies (formally KPMG Consulting, LLC) since 2000 for the continued maintenance and support of the County's primary financial and purchasing systems including FAMIS, ADPICS, BPREP and Systemwide.
Reason for Recommendation:
Under the terms and conditions of current perpetual agreement #199-S0011 with Tier Technologies, Inc., approved by a previous Board on August 1, 2000, Tier may assign the Agreement without consent of the County. The purpose of this agenda item is to advise the Board of the assignment of this Agreement from Tier Technologies, Inc to Cogsdale Holdings, Inc., effective December 1, 2008. All payments as of December 1, 2008 will be made to Cogsdale Holdings, Inc.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Information Technologies to provide Purchasing with updated and complete vendor information.
Purchasing Agent to encumber appropriate funds as needed for future payments to Cogsdale Holdings, Inc.
