Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 192-2015 regarding potential grant funding from the California Tahoe Conservancy related to the Tahoe Basin Environmental Improvement Program, stating that the County:
1) Supports the Conservancy's Tahoe Basin Environmental Improvement Program;
2) Supports the request to the California Tahoe Conservancy for funding the proposed work in the Tahoe Basin; and
3) If awarded the grant, will agree to implement the Project in a manner consistent with the Program's objectives.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Transportation proposes to use Proposition 1 grant monies to fund the Meyers Stream Environment Zone (SEZ) / Erosion Control Project (Project). The Project is intended to restore natural treatment areas that were disrupted during urban development. The major stream through the Project area is unofficially named “Meyers Creek,” and has been identified by Transportation as a location where high concentrations of sediment are delivered to the Upper Truckee River.
