The Agriculture Weights and Measures Department requested a classification review of one Office Assistant II position due to a substantive change in assigned responsibilities. The position is responsible for preparing the annual Crop Report, which requires gathering, organizing, and formatting data from multiple sources, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, and preparing final materials for submission to internal and external agencies. The incumbent also coordinates various program-related administrative functions, assists with department projects, and provides technical support in compliance-related documentation and reporting.

A classification study conducted by the Human Resources Department determined that the scope of work aligns with the Administrative Technician classification, which involves paraprofessional-level administrative support, coordination of program-related processes, and application of departmental procedures and regulatory guidelines.
