Community Development Services, Department of Transportation and Planning and Building Department, recommending the Board approve and authorize staff to send a letter to El Dorado Irrigation District in response to the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Upper Main Ditch Piping Project.

 

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The El Dorado Irrigation District has released a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the Upper Main Ditch Piping Project.  The comment period is 45 days, from June 8, 2018 to July 23, 2018.  The Upper Main Ditch Piping Project proposes the construction of water pipe infrastructure in the Pollock Pines area.  The proposed project would result in installation of approximately 15,400 linear feet of buried 42 inch pipe transmitting water from Forebay Reservoir to Reservoir 1 Water Treatment Plant.

 

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could direct staff to make edits to the comments contained in the letter.
